One day, we dream of a robotic surgical system capable of cooperating seamlessly with surgeons, or even performing surgeries by itself. As a first step toward this goal, we could break down a surgery into different steps, targeting smaller tasks such as deformable object manipulation (tensioning, cutting, ablation, etc.).
